I agree with JB. Percy isn't gay, he is british

****

You're agreeing with the wrong part, Pedro! If Stan said Percy was Gay, that's good enough for me. The question is whether the assertion can truly be said to have been supported in the text.

Oh, OK. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Now seriously, at first I didn't notice that he was gay, I just thought he was attracted to his sister (hey, I am an only child! And I was attracted to Aurora too! It was creepy, yes, but I could understand his feelings...).

***

As an only child myself, I have never had much of a problem with consensual brother/sister incest. Almost certainly because I have not experienced the dynamics of a normal brother/sister relationship first hand, only as an observer. Certainly I have always greeted the notion of mother/son incest with the appropriate eewwwww!! response.

Incidentally, despite what others -- including later writers of the characters -- may have read into my text, I had no intention that Jean-Marie and Jean-Paul have an incestuous relationship. He was Gay, and the girls offered no allure. What I was trying to play -- subtly, because of Shooter and the Code -- was his attraction to Walt, and his jealousy of Aurora for doing what Northstar could not.

Maybe because of the text translations, it was not obvious to me that Northstar was gay. There was some asomption, but it was not obvious. As for his relationship with his sister and Walter. It was not obvious also to me that he was jealous. He looked more like overly protective with his newly found sister ( if you consider the fact that he discovered her quite late ).

For Captain Sawyer, well, it was evident but still, it was not the  " reversed birdcage " syndrome.

And Pedro...

[..] Northstar isn't arrogant, he is french! (Well, french-canadian, at least.)

(Now all my french friends are going to kill me. Kidding, guys, just kidding.)

Nothing to say... ( now, where is that ignore button when you need it ? )

Just kidding...

Maybe I should change my motto: " French and proud to be "

Wow - that little tidbit just knocked me for a loop! Knowing that, I think it's
time to re-read a little Alpha - me thinks.

Well, only if you throw it. Which is, of course, completely irresponsible.

Oh....no he doesn't. Sorry, everyone.

Yes. In New X Men, not only are Moonstar and Shan Coy Mahn lesbians, they're an item.

The French are not arrogant!

They're the most humble people in the world!

They're the most charitable people in the world!

They're the most equalitarian people in world!

They're the least arrogant people in the world!

In the Solar System!

In the Galaxy!

In the Universe!

In Runaways Karolina is a lesbian.  I always figured Yukio from the Claremont/Smith X-Men books was, as well, which is why I usually figured Storm was bisexual (or at least had experimented).  This was also back when I was 13 or 14 and spent any amount of time speculating on such things.

Wow. I somehow missed that newsflash. Maybe they can be Marvel's first gay marriage.
