The thing is though I guess is that Doomsday was the prime character in a huge DC hullabaloo all those years ago and has appeared in comics again since. He also of course was in the new Superman cartoon Doomsday. I do agree though that it is to soon.

All of those things are true of the Beyonder too. He was the star of a major Marvel thingiwhatzit, has appeared since (as recently as last year, if memory serves), and was even in a cartoon.

Well, in theory I OWN those, if I don't actually HAVE them.
So I hate you slightly less than usual.

Picked up Batman at the Pittsburgh con for $10. My first...
Not so hard to get that "not in America" figure.
Landru absorbs another one.

A huge HUGE HUGE thanks goes out to Lionel Peillon. Lionel read my musings about searching for the subscriber bonus Batman figure and sent me a PM about it. Turns out he had an extra and offered to mail me one free of charge (a hefty hit by way of France's postal rates!!). I'm sending Lionel a care package of JB comics in return, but I definitely got the better of the deal.

The angle is a little deceptive, Batman comes up to the outer point of Galactus' helmet. The base is much larger than the similar Spider-Man piece and that one only reaches as high as Batman's waist. Definitely one of the best figures issued by Eaglemoss!
Again, a ginormous thanks to Lionel!!

I'm jealous. Even the Marvel ones are $12.00 in my LCS and you get a DC for $10!

Does anyone even know when the first issue is due in the US? I can't remember seeing a date.

It still wasn't solicited in the Previews that came out last week so it's got to be more than 3 months until they hit the US since Previews solicits stuff 3 (or more) months in advance.

The Marvel Figurines hit the US market roughly a year after Europe, so I'd say we'll still be waiting until December of this year or Jan/Feb of 2009.

I got Robin and Catwoman last week. They are fine.
I didn't recall Catwoman to be so "top heavy" in the comics (except maybe in Tim Sale's stuff). It gives me hope for the Powergirl figurine ...

What is with DC changing some of their classic hero outfits to include an
