Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 06, Disc 2

Must like the series because I've watched all six seasons.

My last watched disc was from two nights ago -- "Star Trek: The Next
Generation" season six, "Birthright Part 1"

Over the last few months I have been watching TNG in broadcast order
starting with season three. When I bought the sets, I cherry picked my
way through the episodes I loved. This is the first time I have seen them
all in order and I realized I have missed a lot of wonderful episodes. I
always skipped "Birthright" because I never appreciated Worf, and here I
find I missed a fantastic Data storyline. And I have found I like Worf a lot
more than in the past

Sometimes I will watch a few episodes in a row, sometimes just one, and
sometimes weeks go by without any. It's a fun way to savor a series and
to take advantage of owning the box sets.

STEP BROTHERS. Wasn't bad at all, as far as comedies go. Ferrell and Reilly do a great job acting like 8 year old brats. The part I thought was especially funny though was when both were sleepwalking. My sides were aching from the laughter!

I watched the original Omen on Blu-ray. Nice transfer, but being a film not originally shot for HD, it isn't perfect. I've seen the movie countless times, so it should be obvious I think it is great.

I just watched the special features on Disc 2 of the 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY Special Edition.  Somewhat perplexed at just how many of you on the forum deride this film, but I've loved it for over 20 years now (first watched it in my teens with my Dad).  Still makes me think and wonder, and continually fills me with awe.  Despite the dated nature of the title and special effects, it still holds up 40 years after its original release.  One of my all-time Top 10 favorites.

(Next up:  Either SON OF FRANKENSTEIN or TOUCH OF EVIL.)

"Marathon Man starring Dustin Hoffman.  One of my favorites.  As the years go by this seems to be one of the lost films of Mr. Hoffman's.  Little Big man is another one of his that seems to be forgotten."

Not so fast, Craig... I own both!  There are very few actors I would label as a "genius," but Hoffman's one of 'em.  I love him in just about everything I've seen him in.  (Just rewatched RAIN MAN recently for the first time in years and still got misty-eyed at the end.)

I feel the same way about 2001, Shaun. And as far as I'm concerned, the effects don't look dated AT ALL.

I haven't had a chance to check out the Special Edition...I'll have to see if I can procure a copy!

I recently watched "Dodgeball".  It's a guilty pleasure and I needed a cheap laugh.  One of the few Ben Stiller movies I can watch.

Got the complete series of West Wing from Amazon and working my way through that, on the second season now. Last movie was Hellboy 2, which put me to sleep like 4 times.

I watched most of 300 just now and am giving the Lord of the Rings Trilogy
a second chance as we "speak;" sadly, I'm finding it as dull as I did the last
time I saw it in theatres.

FAMILY GUY: BLUE HARVEST...    Initially put it on as background noise while I did my end of the month file sorting, but wound up watching most of it.  I still laugh when the gang arrives at the Stormtrooper Church...  So very 501st Legion.
