"Just starting Season 6, and remembering this is when Ross began to turn more and more into a caricature, a cartoon even."

The crazy thing about watching these shows again is the reminder that FRIENDS was one of the very first sitcoms to which I became thoroughly addicted and yet would not want to spend real time with ANY of those characters.

Phoebe would be fun to hang out with a couple of times. After that, it would be exhausting.

Ross may have become a punching bag over the years, but by the last half of the entire series, I thought that David Schwimmer became a phenomenal comedic actor.  He was my least favorite of the three male leads at the start, but by the end, he was my favorite of all of them!

Revisiting Season 1 of RENO 911.

This is one of those shows that sort of requires full immersion. The deeper one sinks into it, the funnier it becomes.

Good place to stop. Skip straight to the finale, just for the nostalgia of seeing their iconic exit, perhaps...

Monica's pregnancy-hiding loss of fashion sense was such a distraction!

Okay, just watched the very last scene on YouTube. Hardly any effort at all being made to hide Courtney Cox's mom-ness.

Pregnancy became one of the annoying distractions for the final years. First Rachel gets pregnant, in anticipation of Jennifer Aniston doing the same with Brad Pitt. Which she didn't.*

Then Cox actually does get pregnant in the middle of a "Monica and Chandler can't have babies" storyline.

______________

* It must have been hard for Aniston, playing pregnant when she was having so much trouble getting that way in real life.

And I still wish Joey had moved into Monica’s apartment when she left.

Read recently that the show ended because Aniston wanted to pursue her film career.

Probably just as well that it did, tho.

Probably due to this thread, I have started watching season 1 of Friends. I haven't seen it since first run and I am very surprised by my recall. I still dislike the things I disliked on first airing and I still like what I liked. And since I am on episode 13, there seems to be more to like than not.

Google Earth and a pan shot from episode 2(?). It is stuff like this which makes my day evaporate. ;) Was it really so smoggy then?
