I was looking through my DVD collection today and found season 1 of "A Different World" so I`m watching it.

The strange thing is I have no idea where it came from, I did not buy it and no one has been in my home but me and my 7 year old daughter for like three years.  It is a mystery to be sure.

I rewatched a few episodes off of the first disc I have of "Coupling".  I still enjoyed the episodes and still laughed even though I've seen them before.  I guess not seeing them for awhile made them more refreshing.

BATMAN VERSUS DRACULA.  I bypassed THE BATMAN entirely during its run; I just couldn't accept something so different from the Timm/Dini Batman.  I've been contemplating picking up the DVDs, and started with this self-contained film.  It was passably entertaining, but it didn't leave me with much interest in watching the series itself.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Watched the first 2 discs earlier this week. Fantastic show. I'm so bitter that it ended so soon.

Now watching season 2 volume 1 of My Three Sons.

Weird continuity factor I noticed, in season 1 William Frawley`s character of "Bub" had the real name of Michael Frances O`Casey but in season 2 it is William O`Casey. I wonder why they would change a main character`s name like that?

Was his name officially changed on the show, or did someone just call him William?  Perhaps it was just a blooper, with someone calling the actor by his real name?

No, he is called William in more than one episode of season two as well as introducing himself as William O`Casey in multiple episodes.

COUPLING: COMPLETE SECOND SERIES - I like this series even better than the first. I laughed hard on several of the episodes. Can't wait for the third series.

Ok, after finishing the season it looks like someone caught the error on the My Three Sons name question. In one of the last episodes of season 2 vol.1 Bub says that his name is William Aloysius Michael Frances O'Casey. Since he was only "Michael Frances O'Casey" in season 1, I would guess that the absurdly long name was thrown in to "fix" those episodes where he is called William O'Casey.

Dwayne, have you bought the other two series?  I bought the complete set awhile back. It does get better and better.  The third series has some great scenes. The fourth flounders a bit but is still leagues ahead of other sitcoms.

First disc of the first season of UPSTAIRS. DOWNSTAIRS. Probably about twenty five years since I last watched this series. Still holds up, mostly due to the stellar performances of most of the cast.

Kurosawa's STRAY DOG (1949). Intense performance by Mifune in a Japanese noir. Fascinating real-life background shots of post-WW2 Japan.

For my girlfriend's birthday I bought her both seasons of Flight of the Conchords. We watched some of the 1st season the other night. Funny stuff!

FREAKS AND GEEKS - THE COMPLETE SERIES, Disc 6

Okay, finally finished the series. Thought it topped out on disc 5. Overall it was pretty good, but it didn't leave me wanting more.

Started in on my Alf seasons, got all four seasons at Target for under $40.00, I was a little disappointed to discover that Lion`s Gate put out the edited syndicated versions on DVD rather than the original full length network broadcast version, but the show is still dang funny.

GIANT ROBO: The Animation Vol. II (Episodes 3 thru 5).

It's interesting watching this OAV series again after such a long time.  The animation may not be as clean as the digital anime productions of today, but there's certainly a lot of heart in this show (also, it takes me back to the 90s when only one or two of these episodes were released per year, with a big production time gap between Episode 6 & the Finale...  Talk about a cliffhanger!)

Just watched through the first 1/2 season of FLASHFORWARD. It's pretty good, but I don't see how the show could be maintained for multiple seasons.

Next up...maybe another try at DEAD LIKE ME?

Just finished watching "The Big Bang Theory" season 2, and been switching between "True Blood" season 1 and "Glee" season 1 part 1.

Andy Barker, PI. I had forgotten how funny that show was! Andy Richter, his FOX shitcom notwithstanding, is comedy gold. Too bad America doesn't think so.

Season one of Adam-12, this is the kind of police show I like, the violent content is not too heavy and the police are shown as being both respectful and helpful to the public. It`s a portrait of society as it once was and should have remained.
