I’m not on Pinterest.

+++++++

But...neither am I. Yet I can still see it. Huh.

Okay, then, here's an alternate link:

And an aftermarket set designed for the same kit, but with graphics from the same designer:

Review of the shared Enterprise/Reliant Aztec decal set:

Looks pretty much in the same ballpark as the previous releases, although it’s unfortunate that Round 2 has, in recent years, been offering the “wallpaper” decals as a separate item in order to keep the actual kits’ costs down. The original issue of the 1/1000 Refit came with the hull paneling decals, but the Reliant did not. Now, neither kit comes with them, and if you want the decals for one model, you have to get them for both.

The basic markings which come with the Refit kit do look to be an upgrade, though, since they include 1701-A markings for the very first time (...those were previously only available in a generic Constitution class decal set offered by Round 2). The damage decals are neat, although I’m not yet sure if they’re just generic, or are film-specific. It looks like the specific damage from TWOK can be accurately replicated if one so desires, but not necessarily the damage from the later films (particularly, the patched-up damage from TSFS).

Having already gone all-out on my own Refit model, last year, I don’t really see a need to pick up this new iteration. Building entirely new model(s) from scratch just to replicate the damaged variants from TREKs II, III, V and VI is a little too obsessive-compulsive, even for me! I have a lovely Refit, destroyed Refit, and 1701-A, and those must suffice. On the flipside, I still have an unfinished Reliant (that’s just been sitting around with a first primer coat) to get back to working on.
