Domino Island by Desmond Bagley.

I discovered Desmond Bagley via the 1979 BBC adaptation of his cold war thriller Running Blind. I quickly devoured my Mum's copy of the book and all his other works followed. Following his death in 1983 and the posthumous publication of two more books I figured that was it so I was delighted when I found out that Domino Island had been published earlier this year. A new Bagley to enjoy!

Bagley had completed the first draft in 1972 and this was discovered in an archive of his documents in Boston along with handwritten notes and correspondence about planned revisions. Author Michael Davies has produced the final version; I don't know how much of it is pure Bagley but it certainly "sounds" like him from what I've read so far.

I finished Fun World. Pretty good read, if anyone is into that sort of thing. I do recommend it.

Now wrapping this one up as well...

Is anyone else on the JBF having problems pulling up this topic on their Search option? I have been getting error messages for weeks now.

I think there's something going on with the "search " function James.

I would suggest the "What Are You Reading Now?" topic be pinned anyhow since it's a regular stop for many.
