Still working my way slowly through A Tale of Two Cities, but simultaneously I have been consuming chunks of Stephen King's On Writing for the umpteenth time. This time, I read the instructional second half of the book first. Now gone back to the auto-biographical section he entitled CV.

I'm about half way through this one. Really engaging so far. I haven't read anything about dinosaurs since I was a young kid and this book is a great primer as to what scientists have learned in the last few decades.

Just finished this tonight. I really enjoyed it. I read Jean Edward Smith's biography of Grant some years ago and loved it too.

Getting ready to start on Avalanche: Book Five of The Secret World Chronicles, by Mercedes Lackey, Cody Martin, Dennis Lee and Veronica Giguere.

Its a superhero series, not fantasy.

Any chance that we could "pin" this topic?

My search abilities on the site are still broken, so I haven't been able to access this one for quite some time.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same problems that I am, but the fact that there was a 5+ month gap between postings sort of points in that direction.

Here are some of the military history books that I read (and greatly enjoyed) during the five month gap...
