JB, re-reading the All-New, All-Different X-Men run has me curious about a couple of things since I know that you like me are an original X-Men fan. How come you & Chris didn't return Alex & Lorna to the team to replace Banshee?

And why didn't you put Beast in the group with Cyclops, Marvel Girl & Angel on the Moon? Thanks for your time.

1) The team was crowded enough

2) Think about it.

Gah--thinking about this is going to keep me up! It's always those weird little unexpected things that do this to me. Ah, well . . .

All right -- three original X-Men, and one "new" one on one team, three "new" X-Men and one original on the other. And the two that are "swapped" are the ones with essentially the same abilities.

JB, was there also at play any notion that Cyclops wanted the more experienced and also highly intelligent Beast to assume a leadership role over the second squad of "new" X-Men?

That was my assumption, that the Beast, an experienced original X-Man and an Avenger, was to lead the second squad, especially since in that panel Michael posted Cyclops is speaking to Hank specifically.

What in the world does Kitty's t-shirt read?  It can't be what it looks like can it?

I also thought that Cyclops had put Beast in charge of the other group.  Replacing his spot with Nightcrawler was just fallout.  Live and learn.

I thought the t-shirt read "Titch" - as in small, which is what Kitty was.
