Well, that's about the most insane commission ever. Great job JB,
definitely an amazing piece. Nathan, you're a lucky man,
congratulations.

I think I speak for more than a few on these forums when I say:

I sure as heck hope that Nathan is pursuing or pitching an animated Marvel project for Disney right this minute!  Is it too much to ask for one J. Byrne to be hired as "story consultant," at the very least...?

(Another great, completely mind-blowing commission!)

Well I can't even put into words how much I am loving this.  I need to keep looking at it to digest it all!  You always seem to outdo yourself, JB!  Congratulations to Nathan!

I have to say that so far Iron Man is my favorite on the page!

I was just describing the piece to Julie (the iPhone doesn't do it
justice) and she said to me, "Covet it?"

Covet doesn't even begin to describe it...

Man....this is going to take a while to drink it all in...

Favorite figures after just one quick run through the high rez scan:

Human Torch and Negative Man flying together
Mxyzptlk
Spider-Man (just looks perfect)
Ace the Bat Hound (great job with the quadrupeds in this piece, JB!)
Lincoln and JFK (wow!)

Wow....just wow.  So, will we get to see an update with the added figures...?

Inspirational piece.  If I was an artist I think I would throw away all my art supplies, but as an art collector I feel inspired to dream big!

I might at some point, Nathan, but I already need a nap now... I can't imagine staying up long enough to complete such a task!

Among the characters who are "doubled up," I count two Dick Graysons, one of whom (Batman II) is merely a character in speculative stories written by Alfred. Another might be Clark Kent, but if that's Sally Sellwyn standing next to him, then he's likely to be "Jim White," if I'm not mistaken...

Man, I love scanning this one over and over again... SO many Silver Age favorites here!
