From my favorite issue of Uncanny. Gratz to the owner and way to go, JB!

JB, If I had to explain your art to someone using a one word description. That word would be FUN. That has been a constant about every commission you've posted on the forum.

As i've grown as an artist I've tried to remove your influence from my artwork. The one aspect i've tried to keep is that sense of fun. Your work always seems to have.

Poor Kurt probably wishes that he had the Hulk's strength there. Wendigo is practically oblivious. Well done, again.

Nice job, JB! Nightcrawler is my favorite part of the piece.

Wendigo with his 'first appearance' nose.
At the time X-Men #140 came out I had Hulk #181, but I preferred JB's look for him. (as in all things)
It wasn't until JB drew a new cover for a reprint special (inked by Jack Abel IIRC) that I figured Wendigo did indeed have a big nose.

Wolverine always takes my attention, great job!

You know, with three iconic characters all wonderfully drawn, the thing that really stands out to me is the foliage!

I haven't asked, but I have long assumed Trimpe was going for the look of the masks and totem figures of the Natives of the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks! I always noticed the big nose. That makes sense.

My fondness for this story is mainly because of the intro of the brown costume. Still my favorite for Wolverine.

What's great about this piece, is that it fires the imagination, unlike what most current artists do with their pinups/covers.

A lost art, indeed.

Wendigo scared me as a teen and he still does! Fun commission.
