Ha! I think this is the first time ever, I correctly guessed the character from the title.
It's hard to go wrong with a great Batman commission, this is great Batman.
JB, who was your Batman ears, influence? My first thought was Marshall Rodgers, but then a Google search showed some longer ears early on.

Batman's ears were pretty long in his earliest adventures. They shortened over the years, and I believe it was Neal Adams that restored them to the larger length, in the late 1960s'/early 1970s' comics.

Jaw dropping! I love how the background isn't distracting, and actually adds to the mood and 'storytelling' of the piece.

Concentrating on the backgrounds, I really like the individual touches, like the rooftop statue, the askance blind in one window and the antennae/spires.
