11" x 17" illustration of The Black Queen and Mastermind, after she fries his brain. Backgrounds of your choice.

There are so many good things going on in this commission. The backdrop, "camera angle," facial expressions, folds in the clothing and shadows are all attention grabbers!
Oh, and the MM cufflink is a nice little detail!

I love the ground level view!•• Thanks! There is a standard rule in dramatic visual storytelling: if you want to make a character look powerful, set your "camera" looking up at them. To make a character look week, look down at them. This was the closest I could get to doing both (at least, without permanently damaging the laws of perspective!)

Holy hellfire, another great commission. Dramatic, powerful, mission accomplished. Even with your developed talents of today JB, seeing this I was instantly pulled back to the feeling of "those" issues long ago. How awesome would that book, story be if done today. Mind blown.

Great layout! My eyes go to Mastermind first "Jeez what's happening to him?" Then immediately up " Oh I see!"
Love the clenched fist under the cape!
