Emery, Marvel has had the Ghost Rider rights back since 2013.

So, does that mean no more long relaxing hell-fire wee-wees?

SHIELD's new Director has been revealed...sorta.

Jason O'Mara (Life On Mars, Terra Nova, animated Batman voice actor) will debut as the new leader of the team.  His full identity hasn't been revealed, but Marvel says the character's roots are from Marvel in the 40's.

Hmmmm......The 40's huh?

Maybe its time to make some hay from that tasty Easter Egg from CA:TFA

If that was The Original Human Torch. I'd be thrilled to finally have him in the Marvel Tv/Cineverse

If they allow that Easter Egg to remain untapped then they will have done us all a big disservice.

There are some great stories to be had from that tube.

If he was the original Human Torch, with the inclusion of Ghost Rider, they can do a "fighting fire with fire" theme.

Jim Hammond. We have to watch for Jim Hammond. Even if he's not the Torch anymore, that would amuse me to giggles.

I want this theory of mine to be true. so badly.  But I better get ready to be bummed.

Frankly I would have made this Easter Egg pay off in the lead up to Avengers: Age of Ultron (and Ant-Man as well).

Since Hammond was a cop in his alter ego, this would actually make sense.

LMD's are a part of the MCU lore.  The Koenigs (Patton Oswalt) of Agents of Shield are examples (although not officially called such).

Tony Stark jokingly referred to them in Iron Man 2.

'Artificial skin' and A.I. were big parts of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This upcoming season of Agents of Shield will reportedly explore A.I. (as the John Hannah character will have something to do with this).

The groundwork is laid.  It's time to go there.

Might not be "my" Ghost Rider, but I have no doubt I'll be all smiles and giggles once the flaming skull/car appears.

AoS hasn't let me down yet.

I like what I see. I don't care for the look of the skull in the comics. Hopefully it will look cooler on screen.

Agreed.

Y'know, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was a horrible movie; an f'n joke, in fact. But I really loved the dirty, smoldering look they gave him.

Well, here we go! First image released.

While I think it's better looking than the comic book version, it's not quite awesome. I think the skull looks a little too "cartoony," but I do love AoS and I have faith that they'll make this enjoyable.

Do you happen to know if the Reyes GR skull is part of a helmet/mask that ignites?

Ahhh, this is much better.

I do wonder if he's eventually going to be a full cast member or just a sporadic ally (or semi-villain).

Yeah. Hopefully they don't give him the Deathlock treatment. A couple of big appearances then sporadic then he disappears.

Wow...what an amazing journey it's been since Day One.

I remember seeing images of the guy who would become Deathlok jumping out a window, wondering if he was supposed to be Luke Cage because of his yellow hoodie. I wonder if that was intentional misdirection on their part?

Ghost Rider is a character who deserves a show on cable or Netflix. I hope this incarnation of the Spirit of Vengeance doesn't end up like Hellblazer did on NBC.

I was late to the AGENTS OF SHIELD party. Well, not initially. I was on board when the series premiered, stayed on for the first four or five episodes, then bailed. It just didn't seem to be going anywhere.

A co-worker had been Netflix bingeing it several weeks ago and was raving about it. So, I decided to start over at the beginning, give it another chance. Once I got past those episodes that I'd already seen, things really started popping.

I also own all the Marvel Studios movies, so I watched IRON MAN 3 before beginning AoS, and watched all the concurrent films as the episodes worked up to them. It was particularly satisfying with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Others were nice tie-ins, but this was very direct.

Just completed season 3 (I'd fortunately got right up to where I needed to be when CIVIL WAR was released on Blu-Ray, then knocked out the last three shows).

What an awesome series. Really looking forward to Season 4. It's gonna suck to wait so long between episodes, now!
