As Jon Lovitz once said... "ACTING"!!!

Trust me (and anyone else that watches GoT), Iwan Rheon has the chops to play a power hungry madman.

As far as typecasting... Hey, he does the job well, I say it works for me.

I do - as a Marvel guy, I'm excited for this series. The IMAX element makes me think they are embracing the sci-fi elements.

I meant--Judging from what we've seen so far of the "Inhumans" on AGENTS OF SHIELD, I am really not looking forward to seeing how wrong an INHUMANS show can go.  I was more hopeful of the possible movie as a large movie budget seems more in line with giving us a Black Bolt and Attilan as they really should be.

I didn't see anything on AOS that would make me think that things would go wrong on an Inhumans show. The Royal family not showing up on AOS was my only disappointment. Since the Royals are to be the focus of the new show. That's one less thing for me to potentially be disappointed about.

Obviously it's a matter of opinion. Some of us didn't like what we saw other's of us did.  I hope enough people enjoy the new show. I hope that the show is a success. If anyone ends up not liking it. The solution is easy don't watch the show. No point in sticking with something you don't like.

Like all super hero shows, I'll give this a chance.

If the Royal Family is indeed the focus, then I'm much more hopeful.

I'm wondering how they will accommodate the royal family after Jiaying and her hidden Inhuman refuge/training camp. My bet is that we'll see lots of "hidden refuges" scattered around and only the royal family is aware of all of them...and that Jiaying may have been far more of a rogue than anyone's realized so far.

I've enjoyed AGENTS OF SHIELD and their take on Inhumans and as mentioned, the hidden Inhuman refuge and its connection to the Royal Family should be addressed. Casting so far works for me and I only hope they put the increased budget to good use.

I hope there is some attempt made at putting the Royals in costume. Anything resembling their comic counterparts. I'm hoping to get more Avenger than Agents of Shield from this show.

One of the ladies I work with says she has no idea who he is but she would pay to watch him read a menu!

I never watched 'Hell On Wheels' but I hear he is excellent in it.

What's the over/under on how many lines of dialogue Black Bolt gets?

His statement on being cast included a line about how he's looking forward to the challenge of playing a character who only communicates non-verbally.  So I take that as a positive.

I'l be damned. It'll be interesting to see how well they pull it off.

When I try to imagine Black Bolt in live action I end up with something like this

I love Agents of SHIELD. I'm wary this will use the annoying nihilist take on Karnak.

And, they've cast Medusa, Serinda Swan:

I gave up on Smallville long before she showed up as Zatanna.

So far this cast (on a pure visual level) looks so dead on.  Anton Mount's jawline ALONE looks like it has superpowers!   How many heroes could he have portrayed and done them justice!?

And the creative team behind the show along with the FX support from IMAX makes The Inhumans my most anticipated show of the year.

I know what to expect (I think) from all the other MCU releases.  But this is SUCH a wild card...I have to admit its on my mind more than GOGv2, Spider-Man-Homecoming or Thor-Ragnarok.

Anyways....let us bask in the glory of the Queen...

-----

I think her Zatanna was the most comic accurate looking character to
ever show up on SMALLVILLE.

I love Serinda Swan and I would her as any of a dozen characters (her Zatanna was PERFECT!), but Medusa?  Doesn't seem quite right.  (Crystal sure!)

Or maybe I'm just sad it's not Christina Hendricks.

Yesterday it was announced that Ken Leung (Lost, Star Wars:The Force Awakens) has been cast as royal cousin and fault finder, Karnak.

Looks like we are getting a casting announcement a day based the current pattern.  I wonder who's next?
