The large majority of the GOP don't care who is in office, as long as he's not a Democrat.  They're more than willing to bring this country down in flames as long as they're in charge and fuck everyone else.  My HOPE is that the mid-terms bring a party shift to the House.  The Senate is more of an uphill battle, but the House can be had.

We'll see how short term everyone's memories truly are in 2018.

My hope is that Trump faces impeachment this year/early next year, which hopefully has a bleed over effect into the 2018 midterms.

Of course, that's probably more of a fevered liberal dream than practical reality, but I gotta hold on to something.

From what I've read, that is not the case.  Because of gerrymandering, there is pretty much zero chance that the Democrats will retake the House majority until 2020.  And even then it's not that likely.

It's very depressing.  We have a president who received less votes than his opponent, and in 2018 we are likely to have a scenario in which far more people vote for Democratic candidates in House elections, but the Republicans still hold onto the majority because of the way those votes are partitioned.  "Democracy" in action, folks.  Things are going to get worse before there's any chance they will get better.

Speech recognition is available for Twitter

---

Yes, but speech recognition ALSO knows "unpresidented" isn't a word.

The man's a dolt.  But he can read and write.  Not well, but still.

Also, a lot of the time literacy is a product of education, not intelligence.  Dolts can read and write, and completely illiterate people can be geniuses.

And ANYWAY, President Trump is a target-rich environment.  Stay out of the rabbit holes.

The shit storm that lies ahead with this administration....

...and to think, for the most part, this all started due to the fact that 8 years ago, many white folks lost their minds because a Black "muslim", who was not born in the US, was elected President.

SMFH!!!!!!

Yep.

Apparently, America really wasn't ready for a black president.

From the above article:

 QUOTE:
"There’s always leaks. Every president in history has said the press hates me, and there’s too many leaks." ~ Ron Kaufman, former White House staffer under George H.W. Bush

I seriously do not recall Obama or anyone from his administration saying this, or am I mistaken?

No conflict of interest between Trump's presidency and the Trump family's various businesses, he assured us.

Nordstrom ditched Ivanka Trump's clothing label, saying last week that it would not carry the brand in the new season and its buying decisions were based on performance. Seems fair enough.

Then today Trump fired out this tweet:

"My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!"

Very, very presidential.

He had some serious animus toward FOX - which was mutual.  Nixon is the last president I can think of who felt so under seige.
