Carrie Fisher Reportedly Has Heart Attack On Airplane

She apparently wasn't breathing for 10 minutes; that doesn't sound good.  Fingers crossed.

F**k you 2016.

This year has been a gut-puncher. Hopefully Carrie Fisher will pull through. She's pretty tough.

Is she, tho? After all the abuse to which she has subjected herself?

May the Force be with her.

John Byrne, only you could be so bold.

I watched the rather terrible Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back recently and was struck by how young -- or at least hale and hearty -- both Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill were in the film.

I think the effect of age is something I will never fully accept. The passing of time becomes more of a mystery as I myself age and time seems to accelerate. I remember back in 89 feeling that Mark Hamill had been out of the public eye for forever when he returned with Slipstream. It was a similar story with Carrie Fisher that same year in When Harry Met Sally. Yet, how young they were back then!

Star Wars is, without a doubt, the most important film from my childhood. Its stars hold a special and permanent place in my psyche. Get well soon, Carrie Fisher.

I hope she'll be OK. I'm not a particular fan of the franchise, and haven't seen a lot of her work aside from the first movie, and 'When Harry Met Sally'...but I lost a close relative to a heart attack this year..and so those circumstances, and 2016 in general, just...suck.

A, err, new hope: Fisher's brother describes her condition has being "stable" now.  That's more comforting than "critical'.

Seeing as 2017 is gonna begin on a sour note. Can we finish 2016 with a flicker of hope. I wish Ms. Fisher the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

If anyone's tough & feisty enough to turn around and kick the 2016 Grim Reaper right in the balls, it's gotta be Carrie Fisher.

Hoping for a fast & speedy recovery as well.
