I have recieved text messages recently one supposedly
from HMRC(Tax Office) telling me i was owed a Ł246 tax
rebate with an email link,then a couple of days later
a text supposedly from the DVLA(Driver and vehicle
licensing agency) saying they had been trying to
contact me as a matter of urgency and it was my last
chance,also with an email link! Now,as the above
organisations have ALL my details EXCEPT my mobile
number,i was a tiny bit suspicious! A quick Google
search on both occasions revealed it to be a scam.
Then there`s the landline calls telling me my computer
was infected and for a fee they could put it right! My
mom who doesn`t own a computer has had these calls!
Then there`s the cold calls from companies that
blatantly lie to you,saying `we`re calling concerning
your recent accident/motor accident`
If i get one o those calls and they just say
`accident` i string them along as long as possible
before revealing that the accident was soiling my
pants!

Meanwhile, I checked on my actual computer, rather than my iPhone, and there is no problem. The iPhone continues to be vexed.

Where a mouse driven computer has an advantage over a smart phone or tablet is that you can hover the mouse over a link and the actual link address will pop up in the left hand corner of the screen. Really useful for spotting spam links that have fot through your spam filter

I don't have any weird messages on my Windows 10 Desktop Computer or on my Android / Motorola phone.

I don't have an apple anymore, but I have tested on my iPad and the site works just fine.
