I was surprised no one started a thread.

Truly deplorable, but it was only a matter of time,i attended a Judas Priest gig in Wolverhampton a week or so after the Paris Bataclan massacre, the increased security caused a huge crowd outside the venue,it struck me at the time how vulnerable we were and that in the event of an incident, the unarmed Police Community Support Officers on duty would be useless. I thought it may be a concert or football match where something like this happened, because all the security in the world can`t protect a crowd leaving en masse. On the plus side,it`s times like this that you see communities come together to help. I must also express my admiration for Iron Maiden, who have announced that the final dates of their U.K. tour WILL go ahead in defiance.

Our oldest just finished her first year of college at NUI Galway. Two days before the Manchester Attack, she saw Ariana Grande in Dublin. Hits waaay too close to home.
Dark days we're living in and I fear things will only get worse.

Well, on behalf of the British people, I'd just like to say how deeply moved I was by the President's eloquent words on this terrible event…
No, I can't keep it up. What a f*cking putz.

Yep, the orange baby is perfect for any subject. He can insert idiocy into all topics. Besides, us talking about another senseless terror attack isn't any more original and equally as sad.

I agree with Trump. "Monster" is too good a term for terrorists. It suggests they have some kind of power. Loser aptly describes a guy who betrays his family, community and country to kill helpless little girls, believing that's his first class pass to Paradise.
I wish people would wake up and see that religion is made by men, not gods. And that some of those men were worse than others.

I'm a 'selective atheist'. Islam can go first.

The problem with Trump's "loser" comments is he uses them about everyone he doesn't like - from other candidates, to Obama, Hillary, Arnold, journalists, etc. I don't look at his assessment as something spot on or deep. He just has a limited vocabulary.

As predicted...the usual platitudes. "And today, let us remember those who died, and let us celebrate those who helped, safe in the knowledge that the terrorists will never win - and our values, our country and our way of life will always prevail." (Theresa May) What's coming next? - the terrible 'backlash' that never happens; - singing 'Imagine'; - hashtags such as 'je suis Manchester'; - 'lone-wolf' pseudo-explanations by self-appointed moronic pundits; - some leftists will blame Israel and Trump; - flowers, flowers and candle-light. Then wait for the next carnage.

The thing is, there will always be nutters. Left wing nutters, right wing nutters, nationalist nutters, separatist nutters, religious nutters… and some of them will be quite willing to do violence in service of their cause. Twenty-one years ago, the IRA bombed Manchester. Twenty years from now, it'll probably be someone else.
