The news coming out of Comic Con has been amazing this year!

But the biggest news seems to be the showing of the first Infinity War trailer.  Descriptions of the trailer and 'spy footage' of the screening can be found on line.  Justice League will have to work hard to out do the sheer magnitude of Infinity War.

Many sites have had the trailer removed.  Marvel's lawyers working overtime I suppose.  But some still have it available.

If you love the MCU but haven't seen it yet...you owe it to yourself to find it.  It's amazing.

When Thanos PULLS THE MOON FROM THE SKY AND THROWS IT AT YOU...YOU PAY ATTENTION!

Anyone else seen it?

Here is some poster goodness.....

Yeah I saw the trailer. Quality of the videos were poor it was difficult to really see much. I heard about the moon toss but haven't seen a clear shot of it yet.

Heroes are going to die in this movie. I can feel it. But.....for how long?

"Justice League" will have to work hard to outdo the sheer magnitude of "Howard the Duck", considering the quality of most DCU cinematic releases lately.

Is Marvel really so desperate to taint the Avengers brand?

Hm... I know it's just a photo shoot, but Chris Hemsworthas Thor still is sporting his new haircut, yet also has Mjolnir back in hand. Is that a hint that it will return?

Okay, I just read the article and it constantly mentions AVENGERS 4, as in the fourth Avengers film. The article mentions the film coming out in 2019. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is supposed to come out in 2018, correct? And that is the third AVENGERS movie, I thought that the plan for a two-parter for INFINITY WAR was scrapped. Is it still the plan, after all?

The Russos revealed that to remove the misconception that the films were one large film split in two, AVENGERS 4 would not be titled for some time. Also, they don't want to reveal any potential plot points in the title.

Still, it's appears to be a two part epic finale to the Thanos storyline.

I gotta admit...I'm not really ready to see ANY of these characters go just yet.  There are still so many stories left to tell.

But the idea of the future of the MCU being in the hands of Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and maybe...just maybe the Fox properties is very exciting.

Y'know, that Avengers theme is absolutely inspiring and perfectly memorable. I'll qualify it with the Superman and Batman theme music... maybe a touch less impressive, but only a touch.

I hate Spider-Man's outfit. Is that clear? I HATE IT.

I am a fifty year veteran of the super hero story, team-ups and all - I understood Crisis on Earth-1 / Earth-2 the first time I read it. I enjoyed the hell out of Fantastic Four #s 25 and 26. But I tell you that this movie will receive a lot of criticism about "too many characters." People won't be able to follow all the heroes and all the storylines.

Every one of my geek buttons got pushed with this... but I'm not exactly normal.

One hope... although we didn't see them, I'm going to be optimistic that we see S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Luke Cage, etc. I mean, if you're going to have a party, let's invite EVERYONE. (And a team of Dr. Strange, the Hulk, the Valkyrie, Daredevil, and Luke Cage... does that make anyone else shiver with anticipation?)

I think there are legal reasons due to licenses issues for why we won't see characters like Daredevil, etc., in the Marvel Studios films.

óó

What would those be?

I would tend to doubt that Marvel would give anyone control over the characters after all the trouble theyíve gone through to getting the rights back to them. The issues seem more logistical (coordinating a television production that works on the scale of months with a movie production that works on the scale of years) and political (the territorial pissing contest between Marvel Studios and Marvel Entertainment).

I don't know, hence writing "I think there are legal reasons."

I am assuming maybe there is some deal with Netflix, for example, that figures into things. These legal things are tricky. You may be absolutely correct in that Marvel wouldn't give any control away, yet Disney still farmed out publishing rights to its characters to BOOM! comics even though Disney owns Marvel Comics. I also understand that the Marvel TV team is distinct from the film studio people, so are considered different operations within the overall company.

Anyway, I doubt we will see the Netflix/Hulu?ABC TV versions on the big screen (even Coulson hasn't appeared on the big screen since going to TV).

I'm not saying I know any of this for certain, just a guess. I could be wrong, naturally. If you know different for certain, please share the information, Michael.

It just seems that Kevin Feige gets asked this question frequently, and in every response Iíve read, he always indicates a crossover is possible, but they havenít been doing it for creative and logistical reasons. Iíve never seen anything indicating that they /canít/ do it.

I have a feeling this coming season of Agents of SHIELD will tie into Infinity War in the way it once did with Winter Soldier.

Just a hunch based on the 17 minute preview for AOS.
