So we're all signed up.  Everyone who was in the league last year has been signed up for a month. PLEASE CHECK your Yahoo FF account NOW. I've changed the league name to JBF Throwdown 2017.

I'll adjust the draft order in the coming days according to how we ended the season last year.  Snaking, as always.  I'll also tell you in this thread when we'll be auto drafting.  I'd still love to manual draft if the majority (7) can agree on a weekend to do so. I'd suggest Saturday, August 25. Otherwise we'll autodraft.

Let me know if you decide NOT to participate.  And PLEASE look deep within yourself.  If you can't commit, that's fine.  The worst thing is to commit and then not play.  That just hurts the other players in the league.  If you can't commit to a couple hours a week max and don't care about fantasy football, then back out.  There are others in this forum who would gladly take your place.

I'll let you know when the draft order is set.  Oh...MILLER, YOU'RE GOING DOWN!!!!

That's all for now!

OK, I'm going to amend what I just wrote.  After me, we've got 11 teams.  Let me know IN THIS THREAD if you're active to play.

I'll do my best to contact those who don't respond, but I'm going to give a cutoff point of August 18.  If you haven't responded by then, I'll be forced to forfeit your spot and try to recruit another member.  It's only fair. Last year we had someone who didn't know they were playing until Week 2 or 3.  That's not cool.  We need active managers from preseason on.

'k.  Just emailed everyone who hasn't replied in this thread via Yahoo.  The only one I couldn't get in touch with was Joseph (Terrible Tinkerers) because he doesn't have an email addy linked to his Yahoo FF profile.

You who have not responded, the clock is ticking!

Another point of interest:  Who among you would want to hold a LIVE DRAFT on Saturday, August 25?

Couple of things:

- The order based on snaking from the last season (worst to first first round, first to worst second round, etc until the draft is complete) would remain the same.

- If you can't do a live draft, you will auto draft as we've always done.

I would only feel comfortable making this decision if we get a majority rule.  In this case seven (7) managers would have to agree to a live draft before I would pull that trigger.  I think it would be a blast to try.  Time can be TBD and also agreed upon once we've made the step to live draft.

Cast your vote!

I would be unable to do a live draft that day, or most of that week or the following week.

Time pending I'd be up for a live draft that day. (I work until 3 pm EST) on Saturdays.)

I'm having issues with my Yahoo account. My password doesn't work anymore. Oddly, since I've never logged off my Yahoo e-mail on my iPhone, I can still get my e-mails, but on any other device/computer my Yahoo account is down. I'm still trying to figure out how to fix this.

By my count, I've heard from everyone but Joe Booster, Steven Myers and Joseph Gauthier.

Also by my count, we've got three managers who would be OK to try a live draft.  We'd need four more to agree to it before I work out how to do it.

OK.  With my amazing mod powers, I was able to email Steven Meyers.  Waiting for a reply.  As far as Joe Booster and Joseph Gauthier go, it was no dice.  I emailed them via the addy they used to set up their account here on the JBF and both came back denied.

I write all of this just so it's transparent that I'm attempting to get in touch with our long-standing managers.  So far, it's radio silence.

We'll see...

Rich, I tried to email you with the addy you signed up with here at the JBF and it came back as undeliverable.  If you don't have a Yahoo account, create one and then hit me up via the email function here at the JBF.  I think I have to invite you, but I need certain info from you that I don't feel comfortable gathering in such a public fashion.

Matt, I updated my account email and I do have a Yahoo account. I'm not seeing that email option under your profile/posts (I'm seeing it for Bill and Ryan so I don't think it's my computer being stupid or anything). Re-send that email when you can and I should get it now.

Rich, test sending an email to Bill Roberge or Ryan Maxwell.  See if either one can get your email.  I might have to go through them to get you the link to join.
