June Foray passed away 7-26 at nearly 100 years old. For about eighty years of that, she did voiceover work. You've heard her. She was Granny and she was Witch Hazel and she was Rocky and she was Natasha and dozens and dozens of other voices.

Mark Evanier's article puts it far more poignantly than I possibly could:
http://www.newsfromme.com/2017/07/26/june-foray-r-p/

One line I particularly liked: Chuck Jones once said that June Foray was not the female Mel Blanc; Mel Blanc was the male June Foray.

Nothing worse than these notifications. The Black Camel kneels at everyone's door... but sometimes, it's a little more publicly distressing than others.

Nooooo.

She was also Aunt May for SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS. Perfectly cast, IMO.

Thank you Eric Softer for posting her
amazing body of work. She was responsible
for so many smiles that I had during
childhood, that I can't count them all.

She was on a podcast once a couple years ago that deals with voice overs, it's hosted by the guy who was Pinky on Pinky & The Brain.  (Rob Paulsen).

In addition to all of her famous roles, Foray did hundreds of uncredited ADR voiceovers in films.  She mentioned a list of stars whose voice she had imitated in very famous movies.  Kinda wild!

RIP to a legend.

June Foray also provided the voiceover for Mary Badham's character in certain scenes of the 'Twilight Zone' episode, 'The Bewitchin' Pool'(the final episode of the classic series). And not to forget "My name is Talky Tina...and you'd BETTER be NICE to me!"
