I see it as two separate words kinda portmanteaued together. Byrne + verse... you know, like Mr. Byrne's novels. :D

It's true that the adding of "verse" makes me want to pronounce it as "burnyverse"

The first time I saw the word, I heard "Burn-verse" in
my head. Seeing the matter discussed though, I find the
idea of "Byrniverse" rather appealing.
