JB,

In your time at either DC or Marvel, where there any characters that were imposed upon you by editorial affidavit that however, much you may have initially resented, or been indifferent towards, you eventually grew to like (or resent less!)?

With your question framed as it it, I can only say no.

Hm - ok, I'll try and rephrase (sorry, my first post was an attempt to phrase the question without answering it myself!).

When working for the Big Two, were you ever told to use characters in your books that you hadn't originally considered using, but found you were able to work well with?

Again, with that phrasing, no.

Are you trying to get me to say Dazzler?

My thought was Booster Gold or the Legion.

(I just finished your Superman/Action run)

The answer would still be "no".

The closest I can think of to actually answering the question -- and this is a stretch -- was when I agree to do AMAZON. I thought it was a silly idea, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying myself.

JB, I'm not sure if this is what Steven was trying to ask, but now I'm curious.

Have you ever found yourself on a group book which included a character you
didn't care for, but came to appreciate as your time on the title progressed? If
so, who was that character, and what about him/her eventually clicked with
you?

Again, no.

Over time, I came to appreciate She-Hulk, but that was because of what Roger Stern was doing with her in AVENGERS. That was before I, ah, borrowed her for the FF.

JB, when you and Roger Stern took over Captain America you inherited a supporting cast and Steve Rogers as a commercial artist. Did you like those characters and element? I assume Roger did, since I believe he was the editor when they were introduced.

LOL - no, not trying to nudge you towards a specific character!
---------------------------------------------------------I think Wallace expressed me better than I did, when he wrote:

THAT's what I was trying to ask! And which JB has answered.

Wallace, as a gift from me to you, please consider that you've won this thread!
