Because SW2 was Shooter's baby, and as both writer and E-I-C, I'll wager he would simply insist whimsically that the character appear and hype Shooters little mini-series... a story which worked about as well as a coal powered dildo, in one angry man's opinion,.

I'm curious as to how much research you like to do when you're handed an unfamiliar character. For example, I recall that your Justice League arc included a relatively new character named Faith. In a case like this, how do you prefer to get yourself up to speed on who she is and what she can do? Is this something you rely on your editor for, or would you actually go back and read her past appearances for yourself?
