I'm having trouble with saving images today, but here's the link:

They will put a brand on anything now. I mean, come on, it's just soup. Does it have the "Force" in it? Do you have Star Wars-shaped figures in the soup?

You're just now noticing they've whored out the 'Star Wars' brand? Wait until you realize what KISS is doing :)

(And, yes, it does apparently have 'Star Wars' shaped figures in the soup.)

KISS are exempt because a) they're the best rock band in the world, and b) I'm a huge fan. ;-)

Star-Wars shaped figures in the soup? Cool.

It does make me smile. I think of the kids. They'll see the tins of soup - and get a moment of excitement. And then they go home - and it's boring soup...

The strangest tie-in I saw was around when The Force Awakens opened.  Not my picture, but branded fruit!

Remember when the great majority of comic fans were under the legal drinking age?

This reminds me of something. I think I saw a car ad in a DC comic (around 2000-2004). At that point, I knew who they were targeting for sure. In my youth, ads were for balloons, toy soldiers, x-ray specs, a Hulk punching bag or toy cars.
