The original TV opening to THUNDERBIRDS, redone in the new THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO style:

Thunderbirds Intro New Series Style

The original Virgil Tracy still looks better than his remake counterpart.

I wish they`d used the full original theme tune rather
than looping that one bit,why mess with a stirring
classic? The new version of the show is ok,but not a
patch on the original!

Yes, Bill, that was jarring.

It makes sense for the new series (which I haven't seen) to feature a covert ops/security person at International Rescue.

Took a look at part of an episode on YouTube. Credit for the heart being in the right place, albeit leaning occasionally into self parody. Definite lump in my throat as Thunderbird 2 emerged from cloud cover. But watched thinking "Why is Allan flying T2?"

Pass.

Thanks, Bill, but it'll be a pass from me, too. Something is lacking. I can't quite put my finger on what. Maybe if I was 15 and had no knowledge of the original series, I might be interested. Some of it is intriguing (the covert ops/security member), but I just don't think it'll be for me.
