Thursday, September 28

  • Bears at Packers - Hard to pick against the Cheeseheads at home.  The Bears should be 2-1, but both those games where they looked good were at Soldier Field.  Their blowout loss was at Tampa Bay.  Easy pick for me.

§ Bears at Packers  Oh please. As long as Glennon starts, I don’t expect much.  BUT if MT10 starts, I go Bears!

Sunday, October 1

§ Saints at Dolphins(Wembley)  Is death an option here?  Coin flip goes….. Dolphins?  Damn.. ok.

§ Bills at Falcons  LOCK of the week, if not the year.

§ Steelers at Ravens  Hey if the Jags can hang 44 on the Ravens, what will Big Ben and the Steelers do?

§ Bengals at Browns  Another coin flip.

§ Rams at Cowboys  Rams are a much improved team, but Cowboys aren’t the 49ers.

§ Titans at Texans  Let’s see what Watson does for an encore.

§ Lions at Vikings  Keenum isn’t facing the Bucs this week.

§ Panthers at Patriots  Never go against Brady at home.

§ Jaguars at Jets  Jags come back down to Earth.

§ 49ers at Cardinals  Cardinals aren’t the Rams.

§ Eagles atChargers   Gotta bad feeling about this game…

§ Giants at Buccaneers  It seems the worst team in NY ain’t the Jets!

§ Raiders at Broncos  Next time Von, help the guy up!

§ Colts at Seahawks  ‘Hawks look a bit lost this year, but Colts need some Luck to win.

Monday, October 2

§ Redskins at Chiefs  Hm, there’s a Native American joke in there someplace….

Matt knows the NFC North better than I do.  I'll back the Pack as well.

Eagles : Chargers forgot how to win

Not that it matters, based on the picks so far, but Aikeem Hicks is probably out tonight for the Bears.  HUGE hit to the Bears' D.

With it being a Packers home game, and Glennon being the Bears' starting QB, Hicks being out doesn't mean much.

(I hope the Bears win, but I don't see it happening.)

Right now, though, I think any of the NFC North teams except the Bears is capable of winning that division.

Well guys, once again I pick the games, once again I can't find them on the thread :(

I will surrender this season, too much work, other activites (including watching all 16 weekley games in 40').

Sorry Rick, it's a no show. Wish you all the best.

I will keep track of your scores and present you regular overall rankings.

See you (if the thread still wants me Trump ? NSA ? french bashing ?)

Well, that was a truly pathetic showing by the Bears.  There are absolutely ZERO reasons now to keep Trubisky on the bench.

And the rest...

Sunday, October 1

  • Saints at Dolphins (Wembley) - In a shoot out, I'll take Brees.

  • Bills at Falcons

  • Steelers at Ravens - The Steelers are a different team on the road.  Ravens were embarrassed last week.  It's a rivalry game.  I think they get it done.

  • Bengals at Browns - They've got to win some time...right?

  • Rams at Cowboys - I hate picking the 'boys.

  • Titans at Texans - As good as they looked against the Pats on the road, I'll pick 'em at home.

  • Lions at Vikings - I have faith!

  • Panthers at Patriots

  • Jaguars at Jets

  • 49ers at Cardinals

  • Eagles at Chargers

  • Giants at Buccaneers - Bucs D is decimated.  I think the G-men get their first win here.

  • Raiders at Broncos - Both had a bad loss last week, but the Raiders looked awful.  On the road.  Division rival.  Bounce back team are the Broncos.

  • Colts at Seahawks - I so wanted to pick the Colts...but I just can't.  Not with the 12th Man.

Monday, October 2

  • Redskins at Chiefs - They're not going undefeated, but they're damn good.

    Over to you, frenemy!

Sunday, October 1

  • Saints at Dolphins (Wembley) - No clue what these teams really are

  • Bills at Falcons - Bills D seems real though.  I predict Atlanta finds themselves in familiar territory: leading the game but unable to control the ball.

  • Steelers at Ravens - You have to throw out almost everything you have seen about these two teams when they face each other.  Flacco might get curb-stomped.  He also migh throw for 500 yards.  Or the Ravens could rush for 200 yards.  Or both teams could.  Or it could be a 3-0 snooze.  Ravens at home.

  • Bengals at Browns - Browns are still the Browns.  But I love the AFC North games this week.

  • Rams at Cowboys - I think it won't be close.

  • Titans at Texans (MATT DISAGREES) - Another division rivalry.  Titans with the semi-upset

  • Lions at Vikings

  • Panthers at Patriots

  • Jaguars at Jets - Surprisingly, it will be a harder win this week than last.

  • 49ers at Cardinals -

  • Eagles at Chargers (MATT DISAGREES) - Counting on that fickle East-to-West mojo

  • Giants at Buccaneers (MATT DISAGREES) - Giants are a mess too though.

  • Raiders at Broncos - I hope this makes for a great game but I dunno about these two teams sometimes.

  • Colts at Seahawks (MATT DISAGREES) - Going for it!

Monday, October 2

  • Redskins at Chiefs

I predict a disappointing 2-2 split.  But I had to try.

If I get smoked 0-4, the season is basically over.

Ugh this week might be worst than last!  5-8 right now, 1-2 vs Matt.  And here's the weird thing: I wanted to call Rams-49ers a 12-12 tie.  Well, it's 12-12 and they just started OT.

I was feeling that 2-2 split... when the score was 18-18.  Then the damn wheels fell off and now I'm 1-3.  I was dead wrong against Matt in two blowouts this week.  Disgraceful.

Okay, looks like we got Charlie Brown'd again, and again it was for backing the Pats; also this is the second time this young season that the Panthers have yanked the ball away.

In good picks news, we have two winners!  Allan Summerall knew the Rams would come out of Texas with a win over the Cowboys, and Kevin Bown picked the Jets to humble the Jaguars!  Good work fellas.  Wear it with pride:

[edit: wrong teams for Kevin Brown]
