They tried "Animal House" as a TV series.

It was called "Delta House."  Failed big time.

I have been itching for a big budget, Game Of Thrones style/level Conan The Barbarian TV series on HBO or Netflix.

Full on action fantasy drama in the vein of GOT...Spartacus and the like.

Given that Rob's three picks all had TV spinoffs and he used a smiley, I'm confident he is aware of this.

Robbie - if you can find these, you can see what might have been...
James Bond was on TV in "Casino Royale" on the anthology show "Climax!" in 1954.
Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch were on "Ghosbusters" back in 1975.

Rob O. - You weren't beaten nearly enough as a child, were you?

I would like to see....
"The Incredibles" - Animated - same style and same voices, if possible.
"Star Wars" - Live - there are so man stories in that universe to be told...
And if I can be allowed a little leeway... "Marvel Showcase", with single episodes or short arcs featuring the characters (maybe even the actors) from the Avengers-verse. Some Peggy Carter, some Black Widow & Hawkeye, maybe even a couple of Marvel Team-Up episodes. Not necessarily the classic Spider-Man every episode show, but team ups nonetheless - possibly an Iron Man / Falcon story, for example. Most certainly an excellent venue for crossovers with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Defenders.

DONNIE DARKO - the soap opera element of this has a real TV feel to it.

***

I looked back through this thread and saw the above comment from November. Who the hell would suggest Donnie Darko, I thought. Then I checked the author.

It was me. I have absolutely no recollection of this!

Actually, am I the only one who always never liked posts that consist solely of sigh?
(All those other 'catch phrases' I used have largely been eliminated from the JBF. Now, can we stop sighing sigh much? It looks sighlly.)

Lethal Weapon would make for a great weekly series...

On second thought, no, it would be only good for one season and then it would just be different characters with the same name.
