ABE SAPIEN - THE MOVIE?

Made by the guy who made the two Hellboy movies! I wonder if this is/was an issue between del Toro and Mignola at some point?

“The Shape of Water” received 12 nominations on Tuesday for the EE British Academy Film Awards including best director for Guillermo del Toro (He just won a Golden Globe in that catagory.)

Nice to see del Toro get so much love for his dark fairy tale. Can an Oscar be next?

The Shape of Water is a wondrous delight but it is not the movie you probably think it is. My wife was annoyed when it was over because I was rapturous and she thought it would be more of a gothic horror romance. Everyone should see it but like Baby Drive it is much more than it appears to be.

Thought the same thing.

They wouldn't let Del Toro make more Hellboy films, so he goes and makes a movie about a Hellboy secondary character thinly veiled and wins all the awards and prestige he probably wouldn't have with a "franchise film".

Very interesting.
