Choose three, and only three, fictional animals that are your favourites from TV? No ties, honourable mentions, etc.
They must be based on real animals even though real animals don't talk, etc. So your fictional animal may be able to drive cars, speak many languages and fix planes, but he or she must still be based on a real animal. Anthropomorphism allowed, of course.
They can have appeared in films, but must have had a TV show, or been in a TV episode, at some point. They need not have started life as TV characters (starting life as a video game character is fine, etc.).
I suppose I can be charitable and allow a duo to count as one, but they must be a legitimate duo whose coming together is integral to a plot. So something like Tom and Jerry seems fine, but naming Porky Pig and Daffy Duck as "one" because they once appeared in an episode might be bending my rules slightly. ;-)
Mine:
Bugs Bunny Batfink Sonic the Hedgehog
Those are the three animals who've given me the most pleasure. I didn't miss an episode of SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, by the way, when Channel 4 aired it early mornings in the 90s. Yes, yours truly got up early on a Sunday to watch SONIC THE HEDGEHOG.

Rocky & BullwinkleSnoopy Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey- I once made a grown man cry just by describing the plot of Nestor to him while we were driving in a car. This was a hulking he-man of a guy who once rhapsodized to me that his dream job was to be a waterboarder and torturer of prisoners at Gitmo.

I would argue Bugs and Daffy could count as one, because they 'teamed up' in several cartoons.

So did Porky Pig, Brian, but for this topic, I think it's best to only count a duo as "one" if they are both integral to each other.
You can say that about Sylvester and Tweety or Tom & Jerry. But Bugs and Daffy are distinct individuals who have carried so many of their own cartoons.
It's doubtful a cartoon simply called "Tom" would work. Or "The Exploits of Jerry". But both Bugs and Daffy have "flown solo" on many occasions.

Always root for the mouse over the cat. Jerry had to be an asshole..and a creative one...because the stupid cat was always trying to kill him.ALF was the only TV show where it was acceptable to sympathize with the cat.
