FRIENDS, bang right out of the gate...

THE DREW CAREY SHOW was great in the beginning, because
(as with most shows) he couldn't win and
then...he started winning and I lost interest.

I can't believe somebody else remembers WHEN THINGS WERE
ROTTEN, btw.

The Cosby Show had several great episodes in its early seasons but the first was pretty much perfect. Obviously that's all tainted now.

Modern Family was probably also at its best in season one.

Marc F., WTWR was classically funny! I'm sure that it was the "drawing board" that Mel Brooks used for "Robin Hood, Men in Tights", and I would have loved a Dick Gautier cameo in that movie. Maybe as Robin's father...

"Happy Days"- the location shooting, the one camera, Chuck Cunningham, the more realistic set for the Cunningham home, the sexual humor.  Yes, yes- it did become a monster hit when all that was reversed but I love the original season.  I also noted on a rewatch they hadn't even decided it was set in Milwaukee yet.
