Lars - great idea, I just ordered JB a extra large box of Poison Ivy via Amazon 2 hr delivery, so expect more great drawings very soon!

I think of three inkers... in increasing order of desire:
1) Joe Rubenstein. He did such a lovely job on Captain America... it'd be fun.
2) Joe Sinnott... because Joe Sinnott.
3) Because of the style and nature of this scene... I would love to Jose-Luis Garcia Lopez finish this. I think that synergy would be astonishing.

Mr. Byrne, it's great to see that you still pick up a pencil every now and again. I daresay that you've lost nothing off your fastball... you still amaze.

X-Men was my introduction to JB’s work, so this is really fantastic to see.  I know it’s just an exercise, but there is a depth to JB’s pencils that goes beyond even the best inking.  The energy of this piece is amazing - and it doesn’t hurt that it features my two favorite X-Men!
