The newest Jazzmasters, or at least some of them, seem to have simplified all that.


...never mind I was wrong. It still has the annoying switches at the top of the body.

Adam: I should note that my friend liked to string his guitar with extremely light gauge (like, nines), which made it even more of a delicate beast to play.  I have my Strat strung with elevens, AND locked down the tremolo.  But I do get a good tone out of it!
