Interesting! So T-Rex might have been capable of a lot more than we thought.

Waiting for a dinosaur movie that portray them in a more anatomically correct way than the present Jurassic Park movies.
Some of the more advanced theropods are said to have folded their arms like bird wings when not in use. If so, it sounds like the tyrannosaurs wasn't there quite yet.

Elsewhere, I recall a paleontologist (Jack Horner?) making the point that T-Rex’s arms were entirely vestigial, and completely embedded in the muscles of the chest.

I remember that as well, possibly from Discovery channel. Other weird explanations was that they could be handy when getting back up after a nap.
Untill they find some fossilized soft tissue, last word is probably not said.
(Another giant carnivorous dinosaur, Carnotaurus, had even more reduced arms, despite having more fingers.)

Interesting. One aspect of the T-Rex which I find difficult to grasp is the way they moved. Recent information seems to indicate that they didn't run, they walked. So the picture most of us commonly have of a T-Rex jogging along may be inaccurate. If they walked, would their stride have been more like a turkey or emu?

I may as well throw away the dinosaur books I bought as a kid (including the one about the 'brontosaurus').
Everything we think we know is wrong. Or may be.

It's been a long, hard road for dinosaurs. When first discovered, the immediate thought seems to have been "dragons!", and so they were cast as lizards, cold blooded and slow. It's taken decades to shake some of the stronger misconceptions!

That's true.
It does make me smile when I think about some 'facts' I was taught at primary school. Particularly about the 'brontosaurus'.
But I think the misconceptions will remain. It doesn't happen on a daily basis - I don't tend to discuss dinosaurs in my cab - but I do occasionally hear someone refer to the 'brontosaurus'.
