Speaking of Shooter and "what-if moments" -- I just ran across this story: Marvel licensing DC characters, and JB drawing a Superman cover...


...I've never heard of this before

No.

Shooter is at best cross-pollinating here. When I agreed to do THE UNTOLD LEGEND OF THE BATMAN, Shooter first called me a quisling, and then suggested I write and draw the series all by myself for Marvel. Marvel would pay me and “keep it in the drawer” until they’d bought DC.

And you’d still be waiting............

Thanks for weighing in on that "Marvel publishing DC's
books" thing JB. I'd heard/read it before and suspected
the likelihood of that happening was right up there with
me and Salma Hayek becoming an item.
