Some are reporting that Kelly may soon be on the way out at NBC. She
has never been a good fit for the network. That blackface remark may
have been okay over at Fox, but she can’t do that at NBC. Good
riddance!

We have ranged into a period in which no one is allowed to be dumb. As far as I can tell there was nothing implicitly vindictive about what Kelly said. Just insensitive—dumb.

I’m not sure how to feel about this. I think NBC was right to can her, not because she said something stupid, but because this was the latest stupid thing in her awkward, cringy tenure at NBC. If she had been a better fit in NBC’s morning lineup and things had been going well, she could have been given the opportunity to redeem herself.

But I fear she’ll be used for the next round of Whataboutism from the Hannity crowd.

Word is that NBC bought out her contract.  It’s hard for me to feel bad for someone getting paid $69 million not to be on TV.

NBC was right to fire her.

You can be stupid.  But you cant be stupid on TV with the NBC logo under your face.

Shouldn’t have hired her hack ass in the first place.  NBC bounced the wonderful Tamron Hall to make room for Kelley and a slice of that loyal and perpetually ignorant FOX News audience.   I’m glad it cost them a pretty penny to clean up the trail of shit and failure she left behind.

Lots of bad decisions are made when news people care about ratings.

Hope that buyout means she can't work on tv until that contract would have run out....
