Maybe Nick Fury picked her out of everyone to signal,
because she is sitting on a bunch of marvel artifacts?
That room Thor met her in and he summoned a hammer (Not
sure what hammer)?

There could be something there that could be used
against what Thanos did.

Dammit Wallace! Beta Ray Bill is awesome!!!!

Hey, I like Bill! I just think that the more people around who are able to lift Mjolnir, the less special it becomes.

So does this mean she took his new hammer?

Huh?  Captain Marvel didn't flinch when he threw and then retrieved his hammer.  That's what Thor liked about her.  Pretty obvious from the trailer.  Where are you getting that she took it from him?

I didn't see a throw, will look again

Edit: Unless you saw a different one, there is no throw.
He walks in slowly and calls his hammer to him. Which
makes me think she took it in an earlier scene.

We have seen that Thor does not need to have thrown Mjolnir for it to return... in fact, it seems an act of will on his part to summon it to his hand. Certainly he need not maintain contact with it for sixty seconds!

As for worthiness... I'm of the belief that cosmic entities superior to Odin could wield Mjolnir if they wished to for some reason. Equivalent entities might, I suppose (Ra, Zeus, etc.) As for lesser entities... you tell me what's worthy by Norse standards, and I'll agree or disagree. That might be worth a topic of its own...

I think you're reading waaay too much into a scene that was nothing more than Thor testing "the new kid" in that classic "made you flinch!" style.

If she'd already taken the hammer, then why would he be impressed wen she didn't flinch as he called it back? Perhaps he just set it down for a bit and walked away.

To Matt's point, if indeed time travel is part of Endgame, I think CM will end up being the power source which sends the team back to deal with Thanos. I agree she isn't the blunt force instrument that will give them an easy victory.

This has been a Nerd Age constant. There is hours of YouTube content  extrapolating detailed head canon from six frame shots of meaningful glances. "And this is total speculation here, but maybe those little white dots in his eyes that look like reflected studio lights could be hinting at a future appearance by... The Living Tribunal?"
