Nothing in life prepared me for how big the Falcon actually is! I want to live in there.

That's a really good way to put it, Richard!

Just got back from being on Batuu (WDW version).
Growing up, Star Wars was MY THING. My daughter has
grown up with the same emotional connection to Star
Wars.

While I enjoy the SW universe, I'm by no means an
expert. But, walking through the corridor into the SW
themed area, I teared up. What made things even more
emotional was seeing Rey rush past my family trying to
avoid being seen by the Storm Troopers who were walking
through the area. I could hear my daughter gasp and
say to herself, "It's Rey!"

The crowds were light. It may have been that the
hurricane had just passed or that families were
expecting big crowds and were waiting until later in
the year to book their trips. IDK. WDW has lifted
their ban on cast members visiting the area unlike
Disneyland making CMs wait until after the summer
vacation season

My family and I (4 of us) only had a 25 minute wait to
experience Smuggler's Run. The ride seemed short and I
wish they would have different missions similar to how
Star Tours randomizes what planets you visit. We ate
ronto wraps and went to Oga's Cantina and tried 4 of
the different alcoholic drinks and 2 of the non-alcohol
drinks. We bought the 3 Coke products to get the
thermonuclear detonators. We also built 3 droids (2 BB
units and 1 R2).

It was odd talking to the "locals" though. When I
asked about buying a couple of the gift cards that are
special to Galaxy's Edge I was given a puzzled look and
asked, "You mean spira?" I had to play along for a
short time before getting the answer I was needing.

Overall, we had a great time and can't wait until we go
back in February for the Rise of the Resistance ride.

I was able to pilot the Falcon today. I arrived early leaving my wife and daughter in bed. They're not Star Wars fans. It was a sizable crowd but the line moved pretty fast (as opposed to the nearly 4 hour wait I had for the Avatar ride on Monday). I had a blast!

The Falcon's line does seem to move at a good clip!

Rise of the Resistance opens in Disney World today. Watched some
previews last night and man it looks amazing. Based on the immersion
and detail of the ride, I canít imagine what their immersive Star Cruiser
resort is going to be like

We were in the bus line at Animal Kingdom heading back to our room at Art of Animation having a conversation with this couple from the UK who were huge Star Wars fans. They'd scheduled their trip prior to knowing the date of the opening and they were leaving the day before it opened. They were pretty bummed.

The fact that they seem to be focusing on the Disney Sequel characters and scenarios is a huge turn-off to me.
