Paul, if you are inking digitally, what I do is convert the blue line to a separate layer and supplying inks on its own layer. Then "hide" the blue line layer so that only the inks show when done.

Very nice page above - just be careful with Jean's hair - it was inked more sparsely than Dark Phoenix's usual hair for a reason!

Vinny - You're right. I should have realized that. I got caught up in playing with the texture. I've gone back and tweaked it.

Thanks Vinny! Anytime I'm compared to a bonafide pro is a plus in my book!
Marc - I like that inking job! We had the same idea with that page. I also like the link to the hi-res page - I may look into doing that. Can see all the details and much crisper.


Is JB ok with a link to a higher res image?
