These are the problems I had with an otherwise fun film. "Peter Tingle" and "the Blip" seem like unnecessary references to put into this film.

How does an event that lasted 5 years turn into a BLIP?? Did the writers watch ENDGAME??

Even more confusing - Homecoming gave no hint or suggestion that he even had a Spider Sense. Yet this movie makes a big deal about him losing it!

The only explanation I can think of for this is that his powers are still relatively new to him and still developing. He was only Spider-Man for about 8 months when they introduce him in Civil War. By his 3rd appearance in Infinity War, he had it on the bus. In the new movie he learns how to use it. <insert "I dunno" emoji here>

The Blip is what the general populace called being erased from existence by Thanos.

Kind of weird how it's treated for laughs in this movie - with the footage of school basketball players vanishing in the sports hall, then reappearing years later disrupting the brass band. And Aunt May's story of reappearing in her apartment.

Which means everyone who vanished in the snap was returned at the exact place they vanished.
What happened to passengers on aeroplanes, trains? People driving cars?
File under overthinking, I guess.

••

In the original DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, Klaatu's people turn off all power on the planet--but there is a line of dialog stating there are exceptions, such as hospitals and planes in flight. Back in the Fifties. it would seem, Hollywood still had some respect for the intelligence of its audience.

For years, I have complained that in comics it seems enough so say "Wouldn't it be cool if..." without asking the o-so-important question: "But then what?"

When asked this question, the Russo Brothers said the Hulk made sure everyone "Snapped" back safely in Endgame, but Far From Home sorta contradicts this unless putting the kids back in the school is considered "safe".

Unfortunately, what happened in Far From Home is what we saw in the movies, not what the Russo's said. They should have put more thought into this.

The Russos have stated that as it was Banner who brought everyone back, he would have accounted for people of planes etc.

The Blip is a bad name. What was wrong with the Snap?

Hey, I know Banner is clever... but planning the return locations for half the population of the Earth!?!?

<-- edited to add -->
Snap vs Blip. I guess Snap only makes sense to the superheroes who had encountered Thanos and know about him SNAPping his fingers. The rest of the world wouldn't know that.
