At the (subtle) suggestion of Eric Sofer, a thread for ponderings and prognostications.

The Future. What do you think it will be like?

(Common sense predictions, please!)

Cars would be required to auto-drive on most roads within the next 20-30 years.  This will stop most accidents and drunk driving incidents.

It would probably be one of the biggest life and time saving changes to our lifestyles.

I predict "Television" will go the way of radio and be replaced by other screens
(computers/devices). Like radio, TV will become little used, fondly
remembered, but old-fashioned.

Radio will also become less and less common as the social media and personal
devices continue to fill that space.

<blush> Actually Mr. Byrne, I already posted a "Back to the Future" topic to discuss the next 50 to 100 years. However, if you wish to merge it into this one - please go right ahead!
