Tangent questions: at this point in the X-Men's orbit, was it intended that any of them would survive DoFP in the future?

Also, what power level would Franklin be at in the future? I don't suspect he would have been at the "tomorrow's child" level (or there would likely be no sentinels) but what do you think he'd have been capable of?

And yes, you continue to exceed yourself in both story and art. If only these powers can be harnessed for good...  :o|

Never would imagine the best comic work produced would be free to all.

JB, you have gone well beyond pencil practice to a master class on comic creation. Thanks!!!

Amazing stuff. I never thought I could re-experience the feeling of being 9 years old again, setting foot into this marvelous world. You've done it. This is truly something special. Every page is a new delight. THANK YOU, JB!

Mr. Byrne - I'm told that's a similar sensation to the one from the paddles. You're made of iron to endure that, aren't you? A delicate man of your years...

And apologies about the DoFP questions. I didn't realize those were off limits, but I'll avoid same henceforth.

Let’s see. DOFP came out in, what, 1980? So I was seven upon those issues release dates. I didn’t get them till probably ‘84 or ‘85 so I was 11 or 12  when I actually got to read them.

So in this chapter, it seems that we are getting lots of ex-X-Men guest appearances!
Although the story may be related to DoFP, it reminds me more of the Thomas/Adams Sentinels story with the Sentinels individual attacks to the mutants. This feeling is specially reinforced with Byrne's great homages to Neal Adams!
