About a year ago, my B-52 chair gave up the ghost, and I had to "retire" it subject to some pretty significant repairs. (The non-issue office chair base had actually torn thru the aluminum bottom of the chair.)*

A couple of months back, visiting the Studio with Jim Warden, the Forum's own Bill Roberge offered to fix the chair, so he took it back to his home workshop and performed the necessary surgery. He returned it this Saturday past.

And here it is, back where it belongs:

So, many thanks, Bill!!

(Bill also customized the chair a little bit. There is a toggle switch that I cannot guess had what for an original purpose, but Bill added a couple of tiny speakers, and now, at a flip up or down, the chair plays the opening theme from STAR TREK TOS, with narration, or the closing theme from same. Dah dah, dah dah dah dah DAHHH...)

Amazingly cool! The chair and Bill's work on it -- and that whole studio setting.

It was my pleasure! It is indeed back where it belongs!

I have pictures of the surgery but I fear for forum members that may be a bit squeamish.
