It's fantastic to be able to analyze these two objects that have passed through the Solar System.

But I'll wager millions of such detritus have passed through, but were not of sufficient size for us to detect. The way Pluto and Neptune used to be, for example.

To me, the incredible thing about this is that we humans, mud wallowing hair scratching mouth breathers, have learned a degree of technology to allow us to prove scientifically our cosmic neighbors and passers-by.

The irony is that early observations and recordings of celestial events gave rise to many religions.
