I'm glad that it's happening. I'm troubled that it's been slowly but surely. Still, a good end is good indeed - especially to this epidemic.

I'm pleased to see that the reason for the change is a decline in interest in the gun. I find it difficult to envision a day when American politicians ever work up the courage to stand up to the NRA, but I can picture a day when Americans in general grow bored of guns.

Major props to Colt for making that choice.

Me, personally, I've never been a big fan of guns. I have fired a .22 rifle and a .38 revolver in the past, but that was a long time ago. I prefer knives.

This is great news.

What's the bet though that certain nutjobs will decide to "stock up" on AR-15s while they can. Because democracy isn't just going to defend itself against tyranny; we need hillbillies with assault rifles to do that.

Rednecks, too. (Yes, there is a difference!)

There will certainly be a surge in sales, as there was when Obama was elected and the nutjobs thought he was going to clamp down on gun purchases.

Wait, also, for an NRA lawsuit. "We want our killer penises!! ALL of them!!"

I guess I'm being too much of a negative nelly.

And yes, the NRA will move to get this into court ASAP while Trump and his administration (a.k.a The Obstruction of Justice League) are still in power.

Other companies are still making AR-15s, and Colt is doing it because they believe there are too many on the market to justify manufacturing more.

So its not like people won't still be able to get those pos rifles, and Colt is doing it for  business, not safety or moral reasons.

"We want our killer penises!! ALL of them!!"

I got into a heated online conversation with an American
female regarding gun control, she referenced a single
beheading and knife crime in the UK, i countered with
the mass shootings on a daily basis.
In the end i left her to it as it was like talking to a
brick wall! As she was female, i told her to enjoy her
"Deadly Pacifier" rather than penis!
