However, it occurs to me that a Crisis movie could be a great way to clean up the mess the DCU is and generate a lot of excitement for a new direction (hopefully more inline with who the characters really are). Would they screw it up badly? Probably. But if not, I would love to see the Christopher Reeve Superman striking the fatal blow against the Anti-Monitor before everything goes Kablooie. The screen goes dark. Then, Imagine the anticipation for the next movies when the after credit scenes show a rocket ship crashing onto the Kent's farm; a baby is formed on the coast of an island; a Green Lantern falls to earth and dies, his ring floating off towards an airfield in the distance... the Crisis is over. A time of Legends begins again.

I remember an interview with Marv Wolfman where he talked about how he had created the Monitor to be a character for everyone to use in their stories but the idea hadn’t caught on with the other writers. He said he would reintroduce him & see if he could gain any traction the second go around.

No mention of a big cross company event involving him @ that time.

I do admit that @ the time of Crisis I got a chuckle when there was the scenes with Swamp Thing & John Constantine where in Crisis the heroes dismissed what was going on in Swamp Thing, saying it will blow over while in Swamp Thing, Constantine dismissed the whole Crisis saying it will blow over.
