Just for fun, Darkseid vs Odin (marvel). Who wins if this crossover happens?

Also Galactus vs Odin (Marvel).

Odin, but it’s probably just because I like him better

The old Gods versus the New Gods? Darkseid wins. Although never depicted, it is not inconceivable that Darkseid killed his parents.

"There came a time when the old gods died! The brave died with the cunning! The noble perished, locked in battle with the unleashed evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in a fiery holocaust!"

Hmm. I'm gonna ask Walt!

(And, yes, Galactus because Galactus.)

I would pit the Lee-Kirby Odin against anyone. The Oversword (or Odinsword) alone was maybe the most formidable weapon in the entire Marvel Universe, during that era (even before the Ultimate Nullifier). Thor, channeling all his "Asgardian energy" through Odin-enchanted Mjolnir, managed to drive back Galactus, who by his own admission would if he had not retreated "surely perish."

Would they necessarily fight? Or share a jug of Asgardian mead?

We know Darkseid has the Omega beams (force?) and is super strong and durable. I kind of think of Odin as a "true god" with the ability to call on energies from all the 9 realms. They are both tenacious but the power of good will triumph over evil -- it always does!

As Mr. Byrne states (I think), Galactus is a force of nature, Odin is a god. The force of nature can lay waist to all.

I agree with the forum, the second one is pretty easy - GALACTUS!

The first, however, is a little trickier.  In the world of comic books, BOTH are gods.  Like someone on here alluded to, Odin has the advantage of b being a "real" god - while Darkseid is a comic book creation from start to finish.

For a long time, I thought the "real" gods (e.g., Odin, Zeus) SHOULD have the edge over a purely comic book creation like Darkseid or Highfather.  But, as I thought about it more, Darkseid is a newer/younger god and throughout mythology, the new, younger deities always seem to overpower and supplant their predecessors (e.g, the Titans vs the Olympians).  If you want, you can take this and run with it, and say that Darkseid would defeat Odin in battle.

What happens to Galactus if he eats Asgard? Is that the cosmic equivalent of a Red Bull?
