Make sure to download the PDF. If nothing else, I've GOT to get a printed version of the catalog.

Wow!
I feel like they're low-balling the estimate for those FF #256 pages.

The Ken Kelly painting; "Chamber of Illusions" and the Sanjulian painting; "The Mummy" used for Eerie magazine are amazing.

I had a first edition of that book - it was part of an unassuming little series called "understanding 'so-and-so,'" and it just turned up on the shelves in the literary theory section in B&N one day back in the 90's when I worked there. It's far and away my favorite of all of Crumb's work - he and Kafka are perfectly paired.

So much great stuff in that collection. All those complete issues are probably a rare thing to find.

I think I said more 'Wows' over the Kaluta work, but the unused/incomplete Swamp Thing pages by Wrightson feel very significant as well as all the complete stories from '50s E.C. (Craig, Evans, Williamson, Wood, Severin, Kurtzman, Davis, Crandall... oh my!) Some of the BWS pencils made me say 'Wow' also.

JB, Have you given much thought about what you are going to do with your collection? You have mentioned giving away certain pieces, but what about everything else?

When I feel my time is up, I want to have a “pickup truck” party, and invite all my friends to come and take what they want.
