Okay Matt, here we go for the final week!  I want to get this in early before the holiday craziness.

I really don't like these matchups.

  • Steelers at Ravens - I know the Ravens may well rest their starters, but I also know they may want to cleanse their pallet with a Steelers sweep.
  • Jets at Bills - Jets have probably sunk the Steelers playoff chances.  Grr.
  • Saints at Panthers - Cardinals beat the Seahawks, so reality is on shaky ground, but still.
  • Browns at Bengals - Both teams playing for pride.
  • Redskins at Cowboys - Why not?  The Cowboys are a team of non-destiny.
  • Packers at Lions - Meh.  Packers are probably the worst good team out there.
  • Titans at Texans - Because Pittsburgh needs this!
  • Colts at Jaguars - Colts want that 8-8!
  • Chargers at Chiefs - Another game where the favorite could rest everyone and still win.
  • Bears at Vikings - I think the Vikes win the division and go deep into the playoffs this year!
  • Dolphins at Patriots - Patriots will probably rest everyone.
  • Eagles at Giants - And someone finally wins the NFC East!
  • Falcons at Buccaneers - a romp.
  • Raiders at Broncos - Another boring one unless you're a Raiders fan, because they still have a chance!
  • Cardinals at Rams - But after yesterday, who knows any more?
  • 49ers at Seahawks - Still stunned that the Cards beat the Seahawks.

So...I need to win four disagreements to tie Hagerman and five to beat him.  Let's see what I can mine from a fairly shitty slate of games...
  • Steelers at Ravens
  • Jets at Bills
  • Saints at Panthers
  • Browns at Bengals - HAGERMAN DISAGREES!! Dalton goes out of Cincy on a high leaving the Browns as the biggest disappointment of the entire 2019 NFL season.
  • Redskins at Cowboys
  • Packers at Lions
  • Titans at Texans - HAGERMAN DISAGREES!  Texans already in.  Titans fighting for a spot.
  • Colts at Jaguars
  • Chargers at Chiefs
  • Bears at Vikings
  • Dolphins at Patriots
  • Eagles at Giants
  • Falcons at Buccaneers - HAGERMAN DISAGREES! Dan Quinn and the GM miraculously have job security for one more season.  Winston makes history by going 30-30 for the season.
  • Raiders at Broncos - HAGERMAN DISAGREES!!  If the cards fall just right, the Raiders can get the sixth seed.  A fitting coda to their time in Oakland, but they've got to win this game.  I need to win games v Hagerman, so might as well make this one of them.
  • Cardinals at Rams - HAGERMAN DISAGREES! Rams out of contention, so they're not playing key injured players they otherwise would if in the hunt.
  • 49ers at Seahawks - HAGMERMAN DISAGREES! This is my riskiest disagree. I think the opposite, but have to take some chances.
A massive six disagrees (one more than I need for insurance) and, fittingly, it may all come down to SNF.  Happy Sunday, Hagerman!

MAN did the Seahawks botch that last series  or WHAT!?  That was waaaay worse than the Super Bowl INT, except it wasn't the SB so i guess not.

Okay, we got Charlie Brown'd this week, but it was NOT by the Dolphins!  No one picked the Jets to go on the road and beat the Bills, which is just what they did!  After three weeks with no I CALLED IT!s, we have a couple.  Allan "Allan Summerall is the devil!" Summerall did pick the Dolphins over the Patriots, in Foxboro no less.  Given their injuries, this just barely does not make it to I TOLD YOU SO! level.  And Rick Senger picked the Bears to go into Minnesota and beat the Vikings - as my brother put it: "There go my Vikings, backing into the playoffs again."

Well done!  I'll be back with the final awards soon.

Here's the overall count on I CALLED IT! awards.  As you can see, Allan is the king of the thing:

DougCenters – Two (Weeks 5 & 10)

RichMarzullo – Two (Weeks 7 & 9)

KevinBrown – Two (Weeks 10 & 12)

Kevin M.Hagerman – One (Week 2)

BrianFloyd – One (Week 10)

Rick Senger –One (Week 17)

We were Charlie Brown'd 12 times.  These are the teams that won when NO ONE picked them to:

Colts (Week 5 at Chiefs)

Jets (Week 6 at home over Cowboys,17 on the road over Bills)

Chargers (Week 9 at 'home' over the Packers)

And, finally, I beat Matt head-to-head for a second season in a row, 27-23.  It was neck and neck until the last two weeks.  Much more fun than his 45-25 MERCILESS BEATDOWN of my poor widdle footbaw bwain two season ago.

Well-contested!  Salut!
